I always say that if a story has time travelling Nazis with jet packs flying around on the moon, that’s an automatic 10 out of 10. Jonathan Hickman and Ryan Bodenheim’s new book from Image, The Dying and The Dead, has the Nazis and the time travel (sort of) so it’s definitely got my attention. It also has a Bergman-esque quality about it as the narrative takes place in a seemingly God less universe.
The first issue is giant sized and prices out at four fitty but it’s worth it. I won’t spoil much at all except to say that Hickman is operating without a net here so we will clearly be heading down a path of deep exploration of the human condition. Check it out, folks!
