In looking at this week’s books, I’m thankful for Outcast and Action Comics. Admittedly, these are two very different creations. Outcast is a dark horror jaunt that tells the tale of the ongoing battle between humans and demons. Action Comics is the oldest super hero comic in history and still showcases the big red and blue boy scout as its main character.
Maybe I’m just feeling very yin and yang this holiday season but I like the contrast these two comics has to offer. Kirkman continues to spin an amazing tale of sheer darkness that has enveloped a character named Kyle Barnes and the people in his life. His connection to Hell continues to be explored each month and this latest issue reveals something that has been hidden but now massively out in the open. Action Comics this week sees Supes having to protect Lex from fulfilling an apocalyptic destiny.
Do yourself a favor and pick both of these titles up!
