If someone can explain to me what’s going on in Fantastic Four, I’m all ears.
I was interested in how the kicked off the latest series a year ago. The FF take off into time and space and are supposed to return in a couple of minutes but they don’t. Cool. Yet issue #13, which came out yesterday, makes no sense to me. Now we are in an alternate reality? And jumping around in time?
This current storyline lacks cohesion and is, quite frankly, hard to follow. One thing I’ve noticed about current Marvel writers (Jonathan Hickman, Rick Remender, Matt Fraction) is that they seem to strive to be unintelligible so as to ratchet up the “cool” factor. Sorry, dudes, but it really doesn’t work. The multiple artist thing also doesn’t work either.
Maybe the next issue will explain what the fuck is going on a little bit better but for now, I’m lost.
